THORACIC OUTLET SYNDROME (TOS)
TREATMENT

Pain, numbness, tingling, or weakness in your arm or hand can make everyday activities frustrating. At Bayview North Family Chiropractic, we take the time to understand what's contributing to your symptoms by assessing your neck, shoulder, posture, and movement patterns.
From there, we'll create a personalized treatment plan that's tailored to your needs and goals.
WHAT IS THORACIC OUTLET SYNDROME?

Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS) occurs when nerves or blood vessels become compressed in the space between your collarbone and your first rib, known as the thoracic outlet. This compression can cause symptoms such as pain, numbness, tingling, weakness, or aching in the neck, shoulder, arm, or hand. TOS may develop as a result of poor posture, repetitive work or sports activities, previous injuries, or, in some cases, anatomical differences such as an extra rib. Understanding what's contributing to your symptoms is the first step toward finding the most appropriate treatment.

WHY AN ASSESSMENT MATTERS
Several conditions can cause symptoms similar to Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, including neck injuries, nerve irritation, and shoulder conditions. A thorough assessment helps determine whether TOS is contributing to your symptoms or if another condition may be involved, allowing us to recommend the most appropriate treatment plan.
