MORTON'S NEUROMA TREATMENT

Pain, burning, or the feeling of standing on a pebble beneath the ball of your foot can make walking and staying active uncomfortable. At Bayview North Family Chiropractic, we take the time to understand what's contributing to your symptoms by assessing your feet, gait, footwear, and movement patterns. From there, we'll create a personalized treatment plan designed to reduce discomfort and help you move more comfortably.
WHAT IS MORTON'S NEUROMA?

Morton's Neuroma is a thickening of the tissue surrounding one of the nerves that runs between the toes, most commonly between the third and fourth toes. As the nerve becomes irritated, it can cause burning pain, tingling, numbness, or the sensation that you're standing on a small pebble. Tight footwear, repetitive stress, and changes in foot mechanics may all contribute to this condition.
COMMON SYMPTOMS WE SEE
-
Burning or sharp, shooting pain in the ball of the foot
-
The persistent feeling of walking on a pebble or marble in your shoe
-
Numbness, tingling, or a 'pins and needles' sensation in the toes
-
Pain that noticeably worsens when walking or wearing tight, narrow footwear
-
Relief when taking weight off the foot or removing shoes

WHY AN ASSESSMENT MATTERS

Pain in the ball of the foot isn't always caused by Morton's Neuroma. Joint irritation, stress fractures, arthritis, or other forefoot conditions can produce similar symptoms. A thorough assessment helps identify what's contributing to your discomfort so we can recommend the most appropriate treatment plan.
HOW WE HELP MANAGE MORTON'S NEUROMA AT BAYVIEW NORTH FAMILY CHIROPRACTIC

Your care begins with a thorough assessment of your feet, ankles, walking mechanics, and movement patterns to better understand what's contributing to your symptoms. Based on your assessment findings, your treatment plan may include gentle joint mobilizations, targeted soft tissue therapy, mobility exercises, footwear recommendations, and activity modifications designed to reduce pressure on the affected nerve and improve foot function.
