Welcome to Bayview North Family Chiropractic, a collaborative, patient-centered natural health clinic on Bayview Avenue and Blackmore Avenue, north of Hwy 407, in Richmond Hill, Ontario. I’m Dr. Michael Iuliano and our team is here to support families, active adults, desk workers, injured workers, and neighbours throughout the GTA, including Richmond Hill, Thornhill, Markham, Vaughan, Aurora, and North York with thoughtful, natural healthcare.

Our goal is simple: help you understand what is causing your pain or health concern, create a clear plan, and support your body’s ability to move, recover, and function better. Functionality is our primary focus and its goal is to make sure that you are able to return to the daily activities, sports and lifestyle you love without pain holding you back.

Over 20 Years of Trusted Healthcare in Richmond Hill: Welcome to Bayview North Family Chiropractic

Continuing a 20-year tradition of natural care in Richmond Hill, Bayview North Family Chiropractic is built around a simple approach: engaging in listening, teamwork, and providing practical outcomes to improve our community.

Many people arrive at our clinic after trying to “wait it out.” A stiff neck becomes daily headaches. A back strain from lifting a child keeps returning. A desk setup that seemed fine starts affecting posture, sleep, and energy. A sports injury heals halfway, then flares up every time activity increases.

We built this clinic for those exact moments.

As a Chiropractor in Richmond Hill, my focus is not only on reducing discomfort and goes beyond temporary relief. We analyze the underlying movement patterns, spinal stress, muscle tension, lifestyle factors, and recovery habits that may be keeping the problem active. When needed, our chiropractic care connects seamlessly with naturopathic medicine, registered massage therapy, physiotherapy, acupuncture, rehabilitation, and advanced therapeutic modalities, like Cold Laser and Shockwave Therapy.

Care should feel personal, transparent and easy to understand. At Bayview North Family Chiropractic, we take our time to explain what we find, why it matters, and clearest path forward to achieve your specific goals.

Conveniently located on Bayview Avenue, we serve families and active individuals across the GTA, including Richmond Hill, Thornhill, Markham, Vaughan, Aurora, and North York.

Meet Our Practitioner Team

A strong clinic starts with people who care about their patients and work well together. Our team possesses diverse skills, yet we all adopt the same method: listen attentively, evaluate thoroughly, and create a plan that aligns with real-life situations.

Dr. Michael Iuliano focuses on chiropractic care and root-cause recovery

I’m Dr. Michael Iuliano, known by many patients as Dr. Mike. As the lead chiropractor and owner of Bayview North Family Chiropractic, I focus on spinal health, posture, nervous system function, sports rehabilitation, family care, and injury recovery.

When joints are not moving well, muscles are guarding, or posture is under repeated strain, people can feel pain, stiffness, tingling, weakness, headaches, or reduced mobility.

Chiropractic care may include hands-on adjustments, instrument-assisted adjustments, gentle mobilizations, soft tissue work, corrective exercises, ergonomic advice, and education. The goal is to help the body move more comfortably and reduce unnecessary stress on the spine and surrounding tissues.

I work with many concerns, including:

Every case is different, there is no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to care. Some patients need short-term pain relief. Others need a longer rehabilitation plan to rebuild strength, movement, confidence and restore function.

Dr. Janis Li supports whole-body wellness through naturopathic care

Dr. Janis Li, Naturopathic Doctor, brings a thoughtful whole-person approach to care. Her areas of focus include digestive health, hormone balance, stress management, weight management, and healthy aging.

Naturopathic medicine looks at how different systems in the body affect one another. For example, digestion, sleep, stress, nutrition, and activity levels can all influence how someone feels day to day. Dr. Li may use Traditional Chinese Medicine (acupuncture and cupping), clinical nutrition and supplementation, lifestyle counseling, lab testing when appropriate, low level laser therapy, trigger point release, and individualized wellness and diet planning.

Patients often seek naturopathic care when they want help with concerns such as:

  • Bloating, reflux, or irregular digestion

  • Fatigue and low energy

  • Stress-related symptoms

  • Menstrual or hormonal concerns

  • Healthy weight support

  • Prevention-focused care

Naturopathic care is a valuable ally in the pursuit of self-improvement. By addressing the emotional, physical, cognitive, and social dimensions of health, individuals can create a comprehensive approach to personal development. Embracing naturopathic principles not only enhances individual well-being but also contributes to a healthier community, fostering a collective journey towards growth and self-betterment.

Teresa Sampang helps restore comfort through registered massage therapy

Teresa Sampang, Registered Massage Therapist, provides massage therapy with a focus on soft tissue release, muscle tension, stress relief, and pre- and post-natal care.

Muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia, can become tight, irritated, or overworked, they can limit movement and contribute to pain. Teresa focuses on loosening them up so that they don't pull on the joints in your body and restrict movement.

Registered Massage Therapy can be helpful for:

  • Neck and shoulder tension

  • Low back and hip tightness

  • Stress-related muscle pain

  • Sports recovery

  • Pregnancy-related discomfort

  • Postpartum aches from feeding, lifting, and carrying

Massage therapy also partners well with chiropractic care and rehab exercises. When joints, muscles, and movement habits are addressed together, many patients find their progress feels more complete.

Movement assessment helps guide a treatment plan that fits each patient.

Our Core Treatments and Advanced Modalities

Bayview North Family Chiropractic offers a range of natural healthcare services under one roof. That allows us to match care to the person, rather than forcing every concern into the same treatment style. In addition to chiropractic care, naturopathic care, and massage therapy, we offer a variety of treatment options to tailor and customize care for each individual.

Flexion-Distraction Spinal Decompression Therapy helps with disc-herniations and leg numbness, tingling and weakness

Flexion-Distraction spinal decompression therapy. This is a gentle table-assisted technique often used for chronic low back pain, disc-herniations and related issues, and stiffness. This rhythmic pumping motion helps to widen the back part of the spinal joints, increases the height of the discs between the vertebrae, and creates a negative pressure inside the discs. This process helps to pull back any bulging disc material and reduces pressure on the nerves.

Orthopaedic Braces

Custom braces are orthopedic devices that offer support, stability, and pain relief for joints like the low back, elbows, and knees. Our braces are anatomically contoured to promote joint stabilization and pain relief. They are made from high quality materials, which makes them durable, breathable and comfortable when wearing.

Cold laser therapy and Shockwave therapy support tissue recovery

Cold laser therapy uses low-level light to stimulate cellular activity in targeted tissues. It is often used for irritated joints, soft tissue injuries, pain relief, reducing inflammation, or tissue repair.

Shockwave therapy uses acoustic pressure waves to stimulate tissue response. It is commonly used for stubborn tendon and soft tissue concerns, such as plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, chronic muscle-tendon irritation or calcific conditions.

These therapies are not “miracle cures.” They are tools that may support recovery when used as part of a thoughtful plan that can also include movement, strengthening, manual care, and load management.

Acupuncture and cupping therapy offer additional options

Acupuncture uses very thin needles placed at specific points on the body. It may support pain relief, muscle relaxation, stress regulation, and overall wellness goals.

Cupping therapy uses suction to lift and mobilize soft tissue. It is a way to promote the proper circulation of blood, lymph, and other substances in the body to bring tissues and joints back into balance. It may be useful for tight muscles, restricted areas, and recovery support.

Custom Orthotics and gait analysis help from the ground up

Overall, our feet act as the foundational base the your entire body. When your feet become unstable, they will affect how the knees, hips, pelvis, and back move. Gait analysis looks at walking patterns, foot mechanics, and how weight is distributed. When appropriate, custom orthotics may help support the feet and reduce strain through the lower body.

Orthotics are not always necessary. When they are recommended, we explain why and how they fit into the broader care plan.

Specialized Care and Programs

Our clinic supports patients through everyday aches, complex injuries, and major life stages. The common thread is individualized care plans that are specific to your goals and needs.

Workplace injury recovery and WSIB support

Workplace injuries can be stressful. Pain is one part of the experience, but paperwork, missed work, modified duties, and uncertainty can also weigh heavily.

We support patients with workplace injury recovery, including WSIB-related care when appropriate. Treatment may focus on reducing pain, improving movement, restoring strength, making sure patients are ready to go back to work safely and are able to continue with their normal work duties in a safe and controlled manner.

Motor vehicle accident rehabilitation

After a motor vehicle accident, symptoms may appear right away or develop over the next few days or even weeks. Common concerns include neck pain, back pain, headaches, shoulder pain, dizziness, and general stiffness.

Patients should always go to the hospital after a motor vehicle accident, regardless of symptoms, to get imaging done, an initial evaluation and to rule out any significant injuries that may be underlying.

MVA rehabilitation at Bayview North Family Chiropractic begins with a very careful and thorough assessment. We look at movement, pain patterns, function, and tolerance for activity. We will then create an individualized treatment plan to make sure that you recover as fast as possible.

Family and pediatric care

Families often come to chiropractic care for posture, sports injuries, growth-related aches, or general musculoskeletal concerns. Pediatric care is always gentle and adapted to the child’s age, comfort, and needs.

We also educate parents on movement, backpacks, sitting habits, sports recovery, and when a concern may need referral to another healthcare provider.

Pregnancy and postpartum pain relief

Pregnancy changes posture, joint stress, sleep positions, and muscle demand. Postpartum life brings its own physical load, including feeding positions, lifting, carrying, and interrupted rest.

Care during pregnancy and postpartum may include gentle chiropractic techniques, massage therapy, pelvic and low back support, stretching, and practical home strategies. Treatment is adapted to each stage and always centered on comfort and safety.

Sports injury rehabilitation

Active adults and athletes often want two things: relief now and a clear path back to activity. Sports rehab at our clinic may include joint assessment, soft tissue work, strengthening, mobility drills, movement retraining, and recovery planning.

The goal is to help reduce repeated setbacks. That means identifying why the injury happened, not only treating where it hurts.

What to Expect on Your First Visit

Your first visit should feel clear, respectful, and unrushed. We want you to leave with a better understanding of your concern and the next steps.

Here is what the process usually looks like:

  1. Health history and goals

We ask about your current concern, past injuries, daily activities, work demands, exercise habits, sleep, stress, and health history. We also ask what you want to get back to, whether that is sitting comfortably, lifting your child, training, working, or sleeping without pain.

  2. Physical assessment

We assess posture, range of motion, joint movement, muscle tension, strength, balance, and any relevant orthopaedic or neurological signs. Neurological testing may include simple checks of reflexes, sensation, or muscle strength but can include cranial nerver testing for more complex situations.

  3. Clear explanation

We explain what we found in plain language. If your concern looks like it needs imaging, medical testing, or care from another provider, we will tell you.

  4. Individual treatment plan

Your plan may include chiropractic care, massage therapy, naturopathic support, acupuncture, therapeutic modalities, exercises, or a combination of services. We discuss frequency, goals, expected progress, and home care.

  5. Your first treatment when appropriate

If it is safe and appropriate, treatment may begin on the first visit. If more information is needed first, we will explain why.

Do I need a referral to book an appointment?

A referral is not needed to book an appointment for chiropractic or naturopathic care, but one may be needed to book an appointment for registered massage therapy services. Some insurance plans may have their own requirements, so it is a good idea to check your benefits.

Is chiropractic care safe for every type of back pain?

Not every type of back pain should be treated the same way. That is why we begin with a health history and assessment. If chiropractic care is not appropriate, we will discuss other options or refer you to the right provider.

Can I book if my injury is related to work or a car accident?

Yes. We support workplace injury recovery and motor vehicle accident rehabilitation. Bring any claim details or paperwork you have, and our team can help you understand the next steps.

What should I wear to my first visit?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move. Athletic wear is helpful, especially if we need to assess posture, walking, range of motion, or exercise tolerance.

Do you treat children and pregnant patients?

Yes, we provide family care, pediatric care, and pregnancy and postpartum support. Techniques are adapted to the patient’s age, stage, comfort level, and health history.
