Torque Release Technique

When it comes to helping people with their health, we have two goals:

1. Treating pain and symptoms.
2. Looking for ways to get the body to heal and function optimally.

Fortunately, we have discovered a way to approach both of these goals with a new gentle and effective Chiropractic treatment technique called the Torque Release Technique (TRT).

How does this work?

Think about this, in the same way we can develop beneficial patterns in our nervous system, like learning to drive a car or read, this same system can also develop unhealthy patterns, especially when overloaded with stressors.  When our bodies are overloaded with stress whether it is emotional, physical or chemical it creates unhealthy patterns and imbalances which affect the way our nerves work.  Areas of abnormal nerve function are called Subluxations and can be measured using the COREscore technology. We may not feel Subluxations initially but as the body tries to compensate, symptoms like pain and illness begin to appear.

The Torque Release Technique (TRT) is actually comprised of components of 6 different Chiropractic techniques and is designed to help the chiropractor isolate the precise location of the spinal subluxation. The site and direction of the adjustment is determined through a series of light touches and observation of certain reflex patterns in your body.

Certain bones of the spine have a direct link to the spinal cord that can distort the spinal cord if the bones are not functioning properly. TRT releases the tension on the spinal cord caused by subluxations of the spinal bones or vertebrae thereby allowing a greater expression of the body’s healing and performance capabilities.

The Integrator

The Integrator

The Torque Release Technique was developed in 1995 as a result of a clinical study and utilizes an instrument called an Integrator. The Integrator instrument is a tool that was designed and built to reproduce what the hands intend to achieve during an adjustment. This allows adjustments to be performed without the “cracking or popping” of the spine.  Originally the Integrator was manufactured for use in research only; but the advantages and benefits achieved when the results were measured lead to overwhelming demand for its use in private practice.

TRT is a “tonal technique”. Tonal adjustments are like tuning a guitar string – when the balance or tension is adjusted correctly it plays to its optimal ability. The nervous system works the same way: When the balance or tension is adjusted correctly, the body can “relax” and release compensatory postures and restrictions on its own, thereby functioning to its optimal ability. When your nervous system works properly, you not only feel better – pain patterns release and your health is optimized on every level.  If we just focus on the symptoms, they keep reappearing because we have not addressed the cause.  Tonal adjustments truly get to the cause of the problem.  TThe adjustments delivered are very gentle, do not cause any pain and many people notice a tremendous sense of relaxation and well-being after Torque Release Technique.
