Massage

Massage Therapy can be preventative or restorative, helping to maintain, rehabilitate, or augment physical functions. It can help alleviate the soft tissue discomfort associated with every day stress, muscular overuse, and many chronic pain syndromes. Research has shown that oxygen capacity of the blood can increase up to 15% post massage.

Massage Therapy can help with a range of conditions such as:

  • Stress relief
  • Sports Injuries
  • Muscle tension
  • Inflammatory conditions (arthritis, bursitis)
  • Fractures and dislocations
  • Headaches and insomnia
  • Post-surgical rehabilitation

Lienne Cole is a Registered Massage Therapist and Personal Trainer and has built her reputation on the care and time she gives to her clients. Her services include:

  • Swedish massage: This is a more "classic" type of massage which incorporates a variety of techniques designed to relax muscles and relieve tension. Swedish massage is both therapeutic, addressing areas of pain and discomfort but it it is also relaxing and a great way to relieve stress.
  • Myo-fascial massage: This technique is primarily designed to address specific areas of pain or discomfort. Incorporating stretches and massage, this technique promotes healing and pain relief, restoring harmony and balance to the body.
  • Suikodo™: A hands-on technique used to manage pain and treat musculoskeletal injury. Hot Stone massage: Hot stone massage is a specialty massage that uses smooth, heated stones. They are often basalt, a black volcanic rock that absorbs and retains heat well.
  • Ultrasound therapy: Applied alone or incorporated as part of the massage treatment. Ultrasound may be helpful for inflammation, muscle spasms and certain conditions like plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, ankle sprains and shoulder injuries.
